Majestically floating high in the open 2 story lobby, the Badge, Winged-
Even though the day of unveiling consisted of heavy rain, over 800 people attended the unveiling ceremony. A special temporary platform was put into place to allow people to walk up next to the Memorial to see its stunning detail & beauty and of course for a once in a lifetime photo opportunity.
This Memorial was made possible by LAPD Commanding Captain Ivan Minsal. It was his vision and determination to realize a Memorial dedicated to the stations EOW Officers, Officer Kevin Vanklaveran was the project coordinator and he was instrumental in the completion of the Memorial. Thank you to these two professional and extraordinary LAPD Officers.
