Art of Honor Founder and Creative Artist, Mr Timothy Lampros has been blessed with three major areas of pursuit spanning four decades. His first passion and profession was as a firefighter/paramedic. When Tim put on his first uniform it was as a fire-cadet. At the time, he was only a junior in high school and Jimmy Carter was president. After graduating high school he enlisted in the US Air Force and became a Crash/Fire/Rescue Specialist for the elite Space Shuttle Rescue Team based at Edwards Air Force Base in Southern California. During his enlistment he became a full Paramedic, commencing before his 22nd birthday. Upon completing his service to his country, Tim returned to his home towns in Illinois and worked as a Firefighter/Paramedic for the St. Charles and Dekalb Fire Departments. Several years later, Tim moved to the greater Los Angeles area to take a position with Mercy Ground & Air transport as a Flight Medic.

Along the way he worked as a Safety Medic in the Film & TV industry on such movies and TV shows as; Titanic, Charlie’s Angeles, Con-Air, Alien Resurrection, 24 and The X-Files to name a few. Because of his growing interest and love for the film industry Tim decided to start his own Production Company, TDJ Studios. This is where he became enamored with “Light”, lighting principles and all the technical attributes of lighting. Tim, also, has always had a high mechanical aptitude with years of working on various types of engines and complex hydraulic systems.  Along with steel fabrication and welding; all of his skills came together as he began experimenting with creative steel art, acrylic glass and lighting effects.

In 2011, while attending a local Chamber of Commerce lunch, he met a couple of Los Angeles Police Officers. One in particular, Michelle, was in charge of her station’s 50th year open house. She asked Tim if he would create a piece of art for their lobby. A few months later the End of Watch Memorial badge on glass was born and so was Art of Honor. Tim's first Memorial was for the Los Angeles Police Department. This led to more memorial creations including the world’s only traveling Police Memorial Wall which honors the 207 fallen officers of the LAPD.

With his broad base of life and career experience linked with the various skills he has mastered through the decades, it was a natural flow to create a line of art that honors the service and achievements of the people who serve the communities, cities and states of this great Nation.  His deep respect for the dedicated men and women who work hard to meet the needs of the communities they serve comes through in every piece he makes.
