LAFD Glenn Allen Memorial 2

The LAPD Memorial Wall, conceptualized, designed and built by Artist Timothy Lampros. Commissioned by the Los Angeles Police Protective League and the Eagle & Badge Foundation, the LAPD Memorial Wall is known to be the very first TRAVELING Police Memorial Wall. It has been experienced by over 1.3 million people in dozens of locations through the western United States.

The Memorial is dedicated to the 207 LAPD Officers killed in the line of duty with each Officers name, rank and personal information etched onto an individual plague surrounding the 6 historical badges and League insignia. Made from steel, glass and stainless steel it is built to endure heat, wind and rain as it already has many times. Spanning 58 feet with an imposing height of 9 feet it weighs in at 15,000 pounds. Ten thousand LED lights provide the elegant blue glow surrounding the structure.

Once the Memorial was completed and began touring, work was initiated on designing and building

The Los Angeles Fire Department Memorial Badge, dedicated to Firefighter/Paramedic Glenn Allen who was killed in the line of duty on February 18, 2011 while fighting a structure fire in the Hollywood Hills. Mr Allen served the City of Los Angeles honorably for 38 years and was mere months from retirement.

Art of Honor is humbled to have been able to create the Memorial that honors this great servant of the City. Mr Allen was a wonderful father, husband, son, brother and friend to many and will never be forgotten.

The Memorial stands 10 feet tall and 10 feet wide. Glenn Allen's badge number was 434, his Memorial Badge was personalized with his number. The Badge is made from 7 layers of stainless steel with a hand cut opal stone placed in the center of the cross above the City seal. The Badge is mounted on polymer glass cut in the shape of a large FD maltese cross. Designed and built by Artist Timothy Lampros and Art of Honor.

The first cuts for the Glenn Allen badge - sparks fly from the laser. We dedicated the steel in Mr Allen's name.
